Govt to enact online policy soon : Inu

The government will enact online policy soon as the present government believes in transparency of the Mass Media.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said this while he was speaking at a view exchange meeting with the journalists at Jenaidah Press Club auditorium here on Thursday night.
At present, the number of newspapers and journals is almost 1200 across the country, said the minister, adding, it was only 600 during the regime of the previous government.
The number of community radio has also been up to 32 from the earlier number of 14, the minister highlighted.
On the other hand, Inu told the journalists that the number of private television channels have grown up by 28, adding that 10 more television channels have also been approved by the government in last week.
Presided over by Mizanur Rahman, president of Jenaidah Press Club, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by general secretary of Jenaidah Press Club Mahmud Hasan Tipu, former Press Club President M Saiful Mabud, Municipality Mayor Saidul Karim Mintu and journalists from different electronic and print media.
