Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that the present government has launched scholarship programme for the first time of Ebtedayee madrasa students.
Education Minister said this on Saturday while speaking as the chief guest at Masjid Gausal Azam complex here, a press release said.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mostafizur Rahman attended the function as the special guest while Jamiatul Modarresin vice-president AMM Shamsul Alam Chowdhury in the chair.
The scholarship programme is being implemented in the country for the students of Prathomik Shikkha Somaponi examination but it was not for the students of Ebtedayee madrasa. For the first time, the programme has been introduced for the students who will achieve GPA-5 in the Ebtedayee Madrasa Somapani examination. Under the programme, a student will get Tk 200 in a month under talent pool grade while Tk 150 for general grade, the minister said.
