Essential medicines of a public hospital in the port city traced in a private pharmacy owned by a relatives of one nurse .
The nurse identified as Sadhana Devi of Chitagong General Hospital. These govt medicines traced in Monica Pharmacy of North Nalapara under Kotwali thana in city and the said pharmacy is owned by the elder brother of the husband of Staff nurse Sadhana Devi. Mobile court in their regular anti-drug drive convicted three pharmacy including Monica Pharmacy with Tk.95 thousands on Thursday .
Mobile court sealed the Monica Pharmacy , sources said. Mobile court sources said huge quantities of govt medicines, contraband Indian medicines, physician samples were found .
After searching the residence of the said nurse, contraband Indian medicines were also found. Sources said Monica Pharmacy fined with Tk.50 thousand, RS Medical store of Alkaran with Tk.30 thousand and Swapna Medical store with Tk.15 thousand for keeping the contraband Indian medicines and physicians sample.
