Staff Reporter :The BNP on Monday raise question over Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal’s remark of knowing everything of Gulshan attack. The party came down heavily on the Home Minister for taking no appropriate action in time despite knowing everything of the Gulshan attack.”He (home minister) claimed that he had information of the attack and did nothing to thwart that. It proves the government’s failure to face situation. If they had taken action in time, lives could be saved,” said, BNP StandingCommittee Member Nazrul Islam Khan. He said in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office on the day. The BNP leader also expressed disappointment over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasinas Sunday’s remark on national unity. He said, “When the whole nation are waiting for a call from the government to create an iron hard unity against extremism, then the PM ignored the necessity. She said, the unity already has forged! How the government remarked the ruling 14 party alliances’ unity as a national unity! It is their arrogance. They think that they could be able to stop terrorism alone. But they are failure. They failed to stop the recent deadly attacks. If they keep the people together, then it will be really fruitful to fight against extremism.Party’s central leader Abdullah Al Noman, Selima Rahman, Khairul Kabir Khokon and Emran Saleh Prince, among others were present on the briefing.
