As part of massive digitized campaign, the government has set up computer labs in 55 Primary Teachers Training Institutes (PTI) to improve quality of education, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said.
“We are taking initiatives to incorporate ICT-based programme for PTI to make it effective and efficient organization aiming to improve standard of training for primary teachers,” he said this while addressing the installation ceremony of newly-elected committee of Bangladesh PTI Officers Association in the conference room of Directorate of Primary Education here.
Primary and Mass Education Secretary Mesbah Ul Alam, Additional Director General of Directorate of Primary Education Dr Md Abu Hena Mostafa and senior officials of the ministry, among others, addressed the function with newly elected President of the association Muhammad Rafiqul Islam Talukder in the chair.
Secretary General of the association Md Selim presented the keynote paper at the function.
Mustafizur said PTI officials need to be trained to provide quality training for primary teachers to improve standard of education.
He urged the PTI instructors to perform their professional duties with sincerity to ensure effective training for primary teachers.
