Govt asked not to distribute rotten wheat by SC not HC

block

The Supreme Court [not the High Court] on Sunday directed the government not to distribute the remaining amount of the imported ‘inconsumable Brazilian wheat’ to any organisation or department until further order.
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, issued the verbal directives with extending the time of the stay order for two weeks after the hearing on a petition.
The story published in The New Nation on Monday inadvertently mentioned that the order was made by the High Court, instead of Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
We regret for the mistake.
