The schedule for the 3rd edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has been renewed by its governing council.
The main battle of the six-team franchise-based T20 tournament will begin on November 24, while the opening ceremony will take place on November 22.
The BPL governing council announced the schedule in a media conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Replying a query, BPL secretary Ismail Haider said, “The past issues about players’ payment won’t see anxiety anymore.
“Big companies have bought franchises……hopefully players’ payments won’t be an issue this time,” he added.
The companies that have signed four-year deals for teams’ rights will each have to pay Tk 1 crore as franchise fee while an additional Tk 4.5 crore per year as bank guarantee.
