Gopalbhog mango has arrived to Natore market from Saturday. Gopalbhog mango was launched in Natore from May 20 to ensure safe ripening of mangoes by preventing the misuse of chemicals. Besides, safe litchi will be available from May 25. Collection from litchi trees will start on that day. The decision was taken by Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed at a view exchange meeting with Agriculture Department and mango traders in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Wednesday. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Sadar Circle Fazlul Rahman Mohsin, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department Mahmudul Faruk, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Nadeem Sarwar, Mango Farmer Selim Reza and others addressed the meeting.
It was learned in the meeting that Gopalbhog Mango comes in the market from 20th May, Rani Choice and Lakshanbhog from 25th May, Kshirsapat on 30th May.
