A fire has claimed around 15 tin-shed houses in city’s Shonir Akhra area on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 11am.

confirmed the news to the media and said that the houses caught fire around 11am. They were doused around 12pm with the help of seven fire service units.
“Color painters were living there. Property of approximately Tk15 lakh was damaged, while Tk2 crore worth of property was saved,” Sahadath added.
Md Osman Ali, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Jatrabari Police Station said, “There were 15 to 16 tin-shed houses encircled by brick-walls. All the houses have been reduced to ashes.”
The cause of the fire has not yet been identified.
No injuries were reported.
