Several hundred passengers of Akhaura – Dhaka bound intercity train Titas Express miraculously escaped accident when one of its coaches crashed down on the track breaking the spring of wheels near Banani level crossing in the
city at about 9:15 am on Tuesday.
The loco master managed to pull rest of the train to Kamalapur Railway Station apparently without any causality.
Later, another engine was sent by the railway authorities to bring the broken coach to the station. Officer-in -Charge of Kamalapur Railway Police Station Abdul Majid said that none was accused for the incident.
