Gold prices rise up by Tk 1,866 per bhori

Gold prices in the country’s market have gone up by Tk 1,866 per bhori (11.668 grams), effective from today.
The decision was made public on Wednesday in a press release signed by Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) Standing Committee on Pricing and Monitoring Chairman M A Hannan Azad.
Under the increased rates, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 6,430, 21-carat gold at Tk 6,145, and 18-carat gold will be sold at Tk 5,300 per gram in the local market.
Besides, the price for the traditional method gold has been fixed at Tk 4,390 per gram.
BAJUS has kept the prices of silver unchanged.
On August 6, 2020, the price of gold in Bangladesh was Tk 77,216 per bhori, which was the highest in the history of the country.
