Bangladesh Jewellers Association has announced a rise in the prices of gold and silver from Wednesday, said a press release.
The association declared that gold prices per bhori (11.664 gram) would increase by Tk 1,225 and silver by Tk 58.
It said the association executive committee had ‘unanimously’ decided on the hike at a meeting earlier in the day.
According to the release, 22-carat gold per bhori will sell at Tk 42,515 against the present price of Tk 41,290, 21-carat at Tk 40,414 against Tk 39,191 and 18-carat at Tk 33,767 against Tk 32,542.
