Officials of Customs Intelligence, Chittagong recovered 10 gold bars (each weighing 10 tolas), worth Tk 42 lakh, from the shoes of a person at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport on Saturday night.
Abu Salek, 42, of Lohagara upazila in the district came from Saudi Arabia by an Air Arabia flight which landed around 9:00pm, said Uttam Biswas, assistant director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate. The officials handed Salek over to Patenga police.
