Dreamer of model Raozan and architect of clean Raozan ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP handed over the transfer deed of 16.2 kathas land which is amount worth of Taka 56 lakh to Gohira College for construction of its administrative and hostel building.
The hostel building for the students of the college will be constructed with own finance of the lawmaker, he said. This was disclosed at the college committee meeting held on Tuesday on the college premises with President of the college committee and Raozan UNO Jonaid Kabir Sohag in the chair.
The meeting also proposed to rename the college name after Fazle Karim Chowdhury which was formally announced by Jonaid Kabir Sohag. President of Upazila AL and a resident of Gohira proposed to rename of the traditional Gohira College which formally declared by the committee president. Chairman of Upazila AKM Eheshanul Haider Chowdhury Babul, President of Upazila Awami League Bir Muktijoddha Kazi Abdul Wahab, Mayor of Raozan Pourasava Jamir Uddin Parvez, Vice -President of Upazila Awami League Kazi Muhammad Iqbal, Upazila Secretary Secretary Principal Kafil Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Raozan Police Station Abdullah Al Harun, Joint General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Alhaj Bashir Uddin Khan, Principal of the College ATM Shah Alam Sikder, Shyamal Kumar Palit, Municipal Panel Mayor Advocate Sameer Das Gupta, Councilor Alamgir Ali, Dr Deepak Sarkar, Professor Ranjit Kumar Nath, SM Saiful Arefin, Sayera Begum, Juba League leader and sports organizer Sumon Dey, freedom-fighter Yusuf Khan Chowdhury, Musa Alam Khan Chowdhury, Upazila Chhatra League president Zillur Rahman Masud, general secretary Sakhawat Hossain Chowdhury Piblu, business association President Abdullah Al Matin, General Secretary Mozammel Haque Khokon, Babul Sawdagar, Gahira College BCL leaders Miraj, Kamrul Hasan, Johnny Das, Nayan Hossain, Sagar, teachers, students, parents and people from different walks of life were also present.
