Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib of Bangladesh Navy emerged unbeaten champion in the Walton Home Appliances Victory Day International Rapid Chess securing eight points from nine matches on Monday.
Another Navy Grandmaster Abdullah Al Rakib finished unbeaten runner-up in tie breaker, securing identical eight points.
The champion received prize money of Tk 12,000 while the runner-up got Tk 8,000 as prize money.
Five players secured seven points each from nine matches and their position were also decided through tie-breaker.
They are: 3rd – IM Abu Sufian Shakil of Mohammedan; 4th- IM Minhajuddin Ahmed Sagar of Army; 5th – FM Khandakar Aminul Islam of Army; 6th – FM Mehedy Hasan Parag of Leonine CC; and 7th – Anisuzzaman Jewel of Mir CC.
Three Players secured 6.5 points each and their position was also finalized by tie breaking system. They are: 8th – Golam Mustafa Bhuiyan, 9th – Nayan Kumar Mohanta; 10th – Abdullah Al Saif.
Besides, eight more players were awarded in different categories. They are: IWM Rani Hamid; WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin; Sirajul Kabir; Hadiuzzaman; Jannatul Ferdous; Rafiqul Islam; Sarnab Chowdhury; and Tahsin Tajwar Zia.
A total of 120 rated and non-rated players took part in the nine-round Swiss League basis competition.
