Global fatalities from Covid-19 stood 3,99,013 with total cases 68,85, 694 in 210 countries and territories and recovered 33,75,726, according to worldometer.
In the US-the hardest-hit country, with 1,11,412 dead with19,67,343 infections-Trump said the economy was bouncing back after being pummeled by lockdown measures.
“We had the greatest economy in the history of the world. And that strength let us get through this horrible pandemic, largely through, I think we’re doing really well,” he told reporters.
Trump, who is facing a tough campaign for re-election in November, reiterated his calls to further ease stay-at-home measures, after surprisingly upbeat employment numbers showed the country gained 2.5 million jobs in May.

Deaths from the COVID-19 epidemic in Italy climbed by 85 on Friday against 88 the day before, the Civil Protection Agency said, while the daily tally of new cases jumped to 518 from 177 on Thursday.

Of the country’s 20 regions, the only others to register more than ten new cases on Friday were Piedmont with 49, Emilia Romagna with 17 and Liguria with 14.
The latest data may fuel unease over the government’s decision to end restrictions on movement between regions which became effective on Wednesday.
Some regional governors have complained that allowing people to travel freely out of Lombardy could spark new areas of contagion elsewhere in the country.
People registered as currently carrying the illness fell to 36,976 on Friday from 38,429 the day before.
There were 316 people in intensive care on Friday, down from 338 on Thursday, maintaining a long-running decline. Of those originally infected, 163,781 were declared recovered against 161,895 a day earlier.
The agency said 2.565 million people had been tested for the virus as of Friday against 2.525 million on Thursday, out of a population of around 60 million.
The Spanish Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare confirmed just one new death from the COVID-19 on Friday.
The Health Ministry confirmed a total of 27,134 deaths from COVID-19 so far. Totally 52 people lost their lives to the virus in the past seven days.
A slight fall was seen in the number of new COVID-19 cases detected by PCR tests (which discover if the coronavirus is active in the body). The Health Ministry reported 177 new infections, compared with 195 registered 24 hours earlier, which took the total number to 240,978.
