The girls singles matches of the Walton 29th Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Tournament advanced to the semifinal stage on the 3rd day at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna on Wednesday.
In the girls singles, Mays Lisa (AUS) beat Hu, Xiaowei (CHN) 7-6, 6-1, Tran, Lian (NED) [4] beat Yang, Jing Jing (CHN) 6-1, 6-3, Tran, Demi (NED) [5] beat Zhao Haibo (CHN) 6-2, 6-1, Karunaratne (SRI) beat Ong, M (PHI) [2] 6-0, 6-1 to reach the semifinals.
The boys’ singles matches moved into the quarterfinals stage on the day.
In the boys singles, Sunish (IND) [1] beat Naina Mohamed 6-1, 6-4, Su, Yu Hsiang (TPE) [6] beat Srivastava Karar 6-4, 6-7, 6-1, Jagtiani (IND) [4] beat Hsu, T 6-4, 6-1, Mahadevan Arjun (IND) beat Ku Yi Hsien (TPE) 7-5, 6-3, Dahiya (IND) beat Lo, Yi Jui (TPE) 6-0, 7-6, Naw, Hazem (SYR) [3] beat Weng Wei Kai (TPE) 6-0, 6-3, Patel (IND) beat He, Xiaoyu (CHN) 6-4, 6-2, Sonami (IND) [2] beat Chiu W (TPE) 6-1, 6-0 to reach the quarterfinals.
The boys’ doubles matches also advanced to the quarterfinal stage on Wednesday.
The girls singles semifinals, boys singles quarterfinals and boys doubles quarterfinals will be held on Thursday morning while the boys doubles semifinal will be held in the afternoon on the day.
