Barisal Correspondent :In the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination of 2016 under Barisal Education Board girls have done better than boys and Science and Home Economics topped in group list.According to the results declared on Thursday morning , 72.38 percent (21,250) female-examinees with 1.26 percent (371) GPA-5 out of total 70.13 percent ( 43,157) passed examinees of 61.538 appeared HSC examinees under BEB this year.On other hand 68.07 percent (21,907) male-examinees with 1.29 percent (416) GPA-5 passed out of 32,181 appeared HSC examinees under BEB this year. Among the group wise results Science and Home Economics group done better than other groups. Total 7,741 (81.98 percent) examinees with 554 (5.87 percent) out of 9,442 appeared examinees passed HSC under Science and Home Economics group of BEB passed HSC this year. In Business Studies group 16,025 (77.18 percent) with 119 (0.57 percent) GPA-5 out of appeared 20,763 students passed HSC from BEB in 2016.In Humanities and Islamic Studies group 19,391 (61.89 percent) with 114(0.36 percent) GPA-5 out of appeared 31,333 examinees passed HSC from BEB this year. However, tendency of adopting unfair means were highest in Humanities and Islamic Studies group with 19 examinees including 14 male, in Business Studies with 11 including 9 male, then Science and Home Economics group with 2 male examinees expelled in HSC 2016 under BEB.
