A cattle trader allegedly raped a girl student of class two at Damodarpur village under Kaliganj upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The girl is a student of Damodarpur Government Primary School. The villagers beat up a woman named Abironnessa, 40 on charge of assisting in rape. She was released later on.
Locals and police said, at around 10-30 am on Saturday the minor girl was sitting at her house. Getting the opportunity, Abironnessa wife of late Ansar Ali of the village called the girl at her own house where the rapist cattle trader Mohsin Ali son of Khorshed Ali was waiting.
Taking her in to the room Mohsin raped her. Hearing screams of the girl locals rushed the spot and the rapist left the scene. Instantly, the victim has been rushed to Kaliganj local health complex.
