Graduation ceremony of MIST: Devote your full potentials for dev of country with patriotism : Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, MP said, ‘Devote your full potentials for the development of our country with patriotism, honesty and sincerity.’
 As the Chief Guest , the Minister handed over certificates and medals to new graduates of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) on the occasion of B.Sc in Engineering Degree Awarding Ceremony held at MIST Campus in Mirpur Cantonment yesterday.
The Minister urged all the science and technology-based educational institutes to play a wholehearted supportive role to the government’s endeavors in building up Digital Bangladesh. The Minister called upon the graduates to take challenges of the 21st century to build themselves as worthy citizens in future. Mr. Nahid further said, ‘We want such a new generation which will be competent in science and technology, imbued with ethical values, patriotism and responsible to citizens of our country.’
A total no of 514 students completed their graduation in this year. Amongst them 437 were civil, 76 military and 1 foreign students. Nafisha Nubayaatt Haq of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Department was awarded Osmany Memorial Gold medal for outstanding academic result.
Among others, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, Defense Secretary Akhter Hussain Bhuya, Engineer-in-Chief of Bangladesh Army Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker, MIST Comandant Major General Md Abul Khair, Ambassadors, professors of different universities, high ranking civil and military officials were present in the ceremony.
