Girl kidnapped from Bagerhat rescued from Ctg after 3 months

A teen aged girl who was kidnapped from Kachua Upazila (headquarters) Bazar was recovered by police from Chittagong on Saturday at night after long 3 months. She was taken back to Kachua PS on Sunday in the morning and produced before a court at Bagerhat on the same day.
Source added police and the family source that on August 25 the girl hails from Khalisakhali within Maghia Union under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhart district went to Kachua bazar to draw cash Taka from a local Bikash agent. But she was kidnapped from there on the day by an organized gang. At first the kidnappers confined the girl to the different places of the district and at last she was taken to Chittaagong port town where she was confined.
In this connection father of the girl lodged a case with Kachua PS. Since then the Kachua police went in action to rescue the girl. On September 17 police arrested one Partha Mridha from Bagerhat bus terminal suspecting him to be a kidnapper of the girl.
On September 23 acting on secret information police raided Chandrmahal resort at the village Hakimpur under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila and arrested one Rakib Mia (18) who was involved in the kidnapping from there. In the face of interrogation arrested Rakib confessed to the police, the girl is now in Chittagong port town under the disposal of his elder brother Hafizur Rahman. According to his statement, Kachua police informed the police of Chittagng EPZ PS of the matter. On Saturday at night police of Kachua and Chittagomg EPZ PSs raided the area mentioned by the arrestee earlier and rescued the girl from there. The kidnapped girl was taken to Kachua PS on Sunday in the morning from Chittaganog and on the same the same day at noon she was produced before a court in Bagerhat district town. Rabiul Alam, O/C. Kachua PS disclosed, the girl was recovered unhurt and legal action is being taken against those who were involved in the kidnapping of the girl.
