Professor Christoph Scherrer, Executive Director of International Center for Development and Decent Work (ICDD), University of Kassel, Germany called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique on Sunday at his office.
DU Criminology Department Chairman Prof Zia Rahman was present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic programmes between the ICDD and DU.
They also discussed possibilities of jointly arranging seminars and workshops. Besides, they stressed the need for enrolment of Bangladeshi students with scholarship under masters and Ph.D programmes in ICDD.
Prof Arefin thanked the German professor for his keen interest to initiate academic collaboration with the Dhaka University.
