BSS, Kushtia :
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said yesterday that the national agenda was not regarding election but to make the country permanently, militancy-free.
“Those who were bringing forth the issue of national election were basically trying to divert attention from the fight against militancy, “he said.
He was speaking to journalists at Poradaha after inaugurating the development work of a road.
Inu further said “As killers were criminals, so were those who plan and patronize such activities.”
Describing Khaleda as a dangerous leader who supported militants, resorted to arson by fire, burned people and directly led militant strikes, the minister said. “Therefore, as we battle the militants on the field, we’ve to politically boycott Khaleda, as well.”
Later, the minister went to Mirpur to inaugurate the construction of another road.
Central committee and local leaders of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) of which the minister is president, accompanied the minister.
