GEG launches Dhaka operation

An educators’ community namely Google Educator Group (GEG) has recently launched its Dhaka operation with ‘GEG Dhaka South’ at the Banquette Hall of Startup Bangladesh.
Prof Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University (DIU) formally announced its official inauguration as the chief guest through cutting a cake where Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Nadir Bin Ali, Deputy Director (IT) of Daffodil International University, KM Hasan Ripon, Chief Executive Officer, Jobsbd.com along with educators from different leading national educational institutes and professionals directly and indirectly involved with education industry were present and welcomed its activities in Bangladesh.
Nadir Bin Ali, Amena Hasan Ana and Khondker Mohammad Shah – Al – Mamun have been selected as GEG Leaders to run GEG Dhaka South in Bangladesh by Google. Jobsbd.com and Daffodil Computers Ltd were the sponsor partner of the event.
Google Educator Groups (GEGs) are communities of educators who learn, share, inspire and empower each other to meet the needs of their students through technology solutions, both in the classroom and beyond. Through this community, educators will build relationships with other educators and gain the necessary skills to use open technology to deliver the best possible education to their students. The three leaders are actively involved in educational development for higher studies and devoted themselves to contribute in the development of education system of the country, expressed in their opinion.
A quick introduction was given by Nadir Bin Ali stating the mission of GEG Dhaka South in the country. A brief idea sharing session on Google Forms, Gmail and Google Classroom was arranged immediately after the inaugural session of GEG Dhaka South by Nadir Bin Ali, Amena Hasan Ana and Khondker Mohammad Shah – Al – Mamun respectively.
The inaugural program ended with a raffle draw where winners have been awarded with attractive Google Kit and a little refreshment for the participants.
