Pre-budget discussion held: GDP target in next budget 7.3%, tax revenue income Tk 1,49,000 cr

Secretary of Internal Resources Division and Chairman of National Board of Revenue Md. Golam Hossain said, the expected target of GDP in next budget is 7.3% and tax revenue income in budget provisions for the next fiscal is about Tk.1,49,000 crores .
 He disclosed this while addressing the view exchanging meeting with the members of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry at its auditorium yesterday.
 Among others, chamber leaders, leaders of different trade bodies, members of NBR, senior officials of customs, vat , taxes , economists and civil society leaders were present in the meet. President of CCCI Mahbubul Alam delivered address of welcome on the occasion. CCCI chairman placed proposals of 47 on VAT and 44 proposals on income tax .
 He emphaisised the development human resources and necessary trainings on exports . He also demanded removal of development tax on local LC for exporting ceramics, hide and skin, jute products, medicine and ship building sector.
CCCI President also demanded withdrawal of restrictions on import of life saving drugs. Among Others, chamber director Mahfuzul Hoque shah, BGMEA Director Anjan Sekar, former first vice president of BGMEA Nasiruddin Chowdhury, and the representatives of ship-breaking yards owners association, Rerolling Mills Association, Dokan Malik Federation, Port Users Forum, C&F Agents Association, and Bandar Truck Owners Association were present on the occasion.
