Arson deaths: ‘Gayebana Janaza’ by 14-party Friday

The Awami League-led 14-party alliance will observe ‘Gayebana Janaza’ across the country on Friday for eternal peace of those who died in arson attacks and violence during the countrywide blockade of the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
Spokesman of the alliance, Awami League Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim disclosed this to reporters emerging from a view exchange meeting at the political office of AL president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi in the city on Wednesday.
Earlier, a view exchange meeting between the central leaders of the 14-party alliance and Sramik-Karmachari-Peshajibi-Muktijoddha Samannaya Parishad, Dhaka City Awami League (AL), AL lawmakers and party leaders of Dhaka’s adjoining districts was held with Mohammad Nasim in the chair.
The minister said that the programme will be observed in all the mosques in district, upazila and union headquarters across the country, alongside,
special prayers will also be offered in temples, churches, pagodas and other places of worship on the day.
Mohammad Nasim said that the Sramik-Karmachari-Peshajibi-Muktijoddha Samannaya Parishad will organise a public rally at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan at 2:20pm on the day and the central leaders of the alliance will attend the rally after attending Gayabana Janaza to extend solidarity with the programme.
