A man died on Saturday after being hit by a garbage truck at Kataban in Dhaka. Police said, the truck of the Dhaka City Corporation collided with another truck carrying floor tiles at Kataban intersection around 3am.
The garbage truck driver lost control, ramming the vehicle on the footpath as it ran over rickshaw puller Rezaul Karim, 25, said Nilkhet Police SI Mominul Hoque.
Karim, badly injured, was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital. Meanwhile, police have arrested the driver of the garbage truck, but the driver of the another tiles-laden truck has fled.
