Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly suggests a different combination that comes under defensive mode for the forthcoming Test series against Australia in Australia.
India are all set to tour Australia for a full-length series of all formats. India will play four matches in white clothes this time in Australian soil. With more than a month to go for the Test series, this is one of the hot topics in the town.
Australia are in a much tough situation as their recent displays not at the best level. On the other side, India are looking more strong that can be seen in their recent tours even though they failed to grab the series.
In the last tours to South Africa and England, Indian bowlers showed a brilliant display than in the previous tours. But the batting was the worry except for the skipper Virat Kohli. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly also advocates the same point ahead of the Australian Test series.
“If our batsmen put runs on the board, I am confident that our bowlers will do the rest. With the kind of form our batsmen are in, there is every likelihood that India will register their maiden Test series victory Down Under this time.”
Sourav wants to have a depth in the batting line up by playing only four bowlers even though its a defensive move. As the bowlers are in good form this move might work very well as Sourav said.

“I expect three of them to figure in the playing XI. They are all quick and skillful enough to trouble any batsman. They must, however, quickly adjust their lengths to become more effective on the hard and bouncy Australian pitches,” he said.
