Police arrested a fugitive convict from Hazipur in Sadar upazila on Friday.
The arrestee is Ershad, 32, a resident of Arshinagar area in Sadar upazila. Mozaffar Hossain, officer-in-charge (operation) of Sadar Police Station, said tipped off, police arrested Ershad from the area in the morning.
Ershad was sentenced to death in the sensational Ayub killing case.
Ayub, was killed over sharing money of drug related business in July, 2012. On December 19, 2016, a court sentenced Ershad to death and two others to life term imprisonment in the case.
