The freshers’ reception for the newly-enrolled students of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was held on its campus at Mirpur Cantonment in the city.
BUP Vice-Chancellor Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Tuesday while Dr. Syed Anwar Husain Professor of “Bangabandhu Chair” was present as the convention speaker, said an ISPR press release.
The Vice-Chancellor addressed various rules and regulations of the university, including maintaining discipline and integrity, keeping the campus free from all forms of intoxication.
He also encouraged the students to participate in the ongoing development of the country by focusing on the lessons and free from political activities.
Pro- Vice Chancellor Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder was present among others.
