City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin announced that all disabled persons will get free medical facilities from all CCC medical units in the city . He disclosed it while addressing he International & National Disabled Day discussion meet held at Chittagong Threatre Institute as chief guest .
City Mayor in his brief deliberations said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much cordial towards the welfare of the disabled and govt is also meeting the demands of the disabled gradually.
He said city corporation will provide all sorts of medicare facilities to the disabled free of cost. He said disabled persons will get employment faculties as per quota in CCC and the disabled will be provided necessary equipments for easy movement towards medical centres as well as working place. City mayor handed over boquets and winter cloths to about 300 disabled of 28 disabled institutions of the city. Later city mayor formally inaugurate a room (No.104) specifically for disabled persons at CCC General Hospital.
Among others, councilor Syed Golam Haider Minto, CCC Secretary Rashid Ahmed, councilor Nazmul Hoque Diuk, chief executive office of CCC Kazi Shafiul Alam, Tarek Solaim Selim, Hasan Murad Biplab, M Salimullah were present on the occasion, a CCC release said.
