Another fraud woman has been arrested by RAB in Chattogram on the charge of looting lakhs of taka.
This fraudster woman was identified as Parveen Akhtar. After her arrest, various misdeeds are coming out eventually.
Sources said that sometimes she impersonated a magistrate, sometimes an Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Organization and sometimes a top government official. In this way, she looted lakhs of taka from the people of Chittagong recently.
RAB sources said that she used to run fake mobile courts even with her team using stickers on the microbus.
Recently, a project worth Tk 7.5 crore was submitted to the government on her behalf. And in this way, she spread the net of deception among the common people. As a result she has misappropriated lakhs of taka.
Besides, Parveen opened a company called Sikriti and collected tk 20,000 from each of the hundred customers. But customers did not get back their deposits.
Accused Parveen Akhter was arrested in a raid on Saturday night. Check books of 13 banks were found in the dormitory of Parveen Akhtar.
RAB Officer Md. Tareq confirmed the matter and said that she tried to get grants from the government by drafting various imaginary projects.
A case has been filed against the accused Parveen Akhtar with Pahartali Police Station after she was arrested by the RAB
On Saturday night, RAB arrested accused Parveen in a raid. During the drive, RAB also seized at least 13 bank checks and other equipments from the spot, RAB official added.
