Four killed in separate incidents

Chittagong Bureau :Four persons including a housewife were killed in separate incidents in the city on Thursday night and Friday.The victims were identified as motorcyclist Bablu Mollah,40, son of late Odud Mollah, hailed from Kashani upazila of Gopalgonj district, worker Suman Das,28, son of late Bimol Chandra Das, hailed from sadar upazila of Patuakhali district, businessman Jahangir Alam,30, son of Mofzol Hossain, hailed from Ranirhat area under Rangunia upazila, house wife Khadiza Akter,22, wife of Saiful Islam, hailed from Moderbari area under Sadarghat thana in the city.In the first incident motorcyclist Bablu Mollah, 40, received head injury by covered van at Fuzdarhat area on Dhaka Chittagong highway at 10 am on Friday. Police brought him to local health complex, but the attending doctors declared him dead.Police and Medical sources said worker Bimol received serious injury while working at Aramit Group of Industries at Khalurghat Industrial area at 11 pm Thursday night.Colleagues and Aramit authority brought the victim at Chittagong Medical college Hospital (CMCH) but the attending doctors declared him dead.Garments shop owner Janangir received bullet injury while a group of miscreants gunned him down at Ranirhat bazaar under Rangunia upazila at 10 pm last night, while he was returning home closing his shop.locals brought him to Rangunia health complex but the attending doctors declared him dead.Police said housewife Khadiza commits suicide by hanging herself with ceiling fan after quarreling with her husband at 11 pm last night. Family members brought her to CMCH, but the attending doctors declared her dead. Separate cases lodged with respective police stations in this connection.
