Four killed in road accidents

At least four persons, including a Khatib of a mosque, were killed in three separate road crashes across the country on Wednesday.
In Rangpur, at least two motorcyclists were killed in a road crash at Mahiarpul of Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Anwar Hossain Sabbir, 18 and Al Farabi, 7.
Zafar Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mithapukur Police Station confirmed the news to the media that the accident occurred at 9:15 am when a sand-laden truck rammed the motorbike.
In Narsingdi, a Khatib of a Masjid was killed in a tragic road accident in Kolapara area of Shibpur upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Junayed Ahmed Siddique, Khatib of Rahmania Baitun Nur Jame Mosque in Narayangang district. He was also director of Sultanul Ulum Qaumi Madrasa at Swamibagh.
Molla Azijur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Sibpur Police Station confirmed the matter to the media.
In Pirojpur, a pedestrian named Shahidul Islam 55, was killed when a vehicle rammed him at Mazerpul Bazaar of the district on Wednesday afternoon.
