BSS, Chittagong :
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in separate drives, arrested four drug traders with 1,650 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Moizzartek area of Karnaphuly Thana on Monday night and Tuesday.
The arrested were identified as Mohammad Siddik Mia, 20, Abdul Hamid, 29, Nurul Mostafa, 20, and Jafar Ahammad, 68. On a tip-off, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of CMP arrested Siddik with 850 pieces of yaba tablets from Moizzartek area around 1.30 pm yesterday .
Earlier, another team of DB arrested Hamid, Mostafa, and Jafar with 800 pieces of yaba tablets from the same place on Monday night. A case was filed with Karnaphuli Thana in this connection.
