Four die with corona-like symptoms

Four persons died with corona-like symptoms in four districts in the last 24 hours.
In Shariatpur, a sexagenarian man died at the isolation unit of Sadar hospital on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Majibur Rahman Morol of Kazi Kandi village in Sadar upazila.
He had been suffering from breathing problem and undergoing treatment at the Sadar hospital since Sunday morning.
Munir Ahmed Khan, a supervisor of Sadar Hospital, said the man came to the hospital with respiratory problems and he was sent to the isolation
unit of the hospital. He died there around 9:30am, said Shariatpur Civil Surgeon SM Abdullah AL Murad.
Samples of the deceased were collected and sent to Dhaka for lab test, the Civil Surgeon added.
In Laxmipur, an 18-year-old boy suffering from fever and cold died at his home at Charafzal in Ramgati upazila on Monday. The deceased was identified as Rajib, a worker of a restaurant in Dhaka.
Dr Kamnasish Majumdar, resident medical officer of Ramgati Upazila Health Complex, said the boy came to his home recently from Dhaka. He had been suffering from fever and cold for the last two days, said Dr Majumdar.
He died at his home early Monday, he said.
On information, the authorities concerned of Ramgati Upazila Health Complex collected samples form the deceased and ten of his family members and sent those to lab for testing.
Mohammad Solaiman, officer-in-charge of Ramgati Police Station, said the family of the deceased were sent to home quarantine.
Besides, local administration has sent 20 people, including three physicians and nurses of general ward of Sadar hospital, to home quarantine as a man tested positive for Covid-19 at the ward, said Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Gaffar.
In Natore, a van driver suffering from fever and cold-related issues including breathing problem, died at Nowshara village in Bagatipara upazila on Sunday night.
According to family sources, the man had been suffering from the symptoms for the last three to four days.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Prianka Debi Paul said that the sample will be collected from the man and the village will be put under lockdown for the time being.
In Panchagarh, a student suffering from fever and cold died at Thurgaon sadar hospital on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman Rajib, 16, a resident of Gaighata village in Moidandighi union of Boda upazila. He was a SSC examinee. Boda’s Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Solemon Ali said Rajib was admitted to the hospital on Sunday where he died at night.
His sample was collected on Monday morning. Locals said one of Rajib’s brothers returned from Maldives three months ago and another came from Dhaka several days ago. The UNO said the house was put under lockdown.
