At least four buses were set ablaze in different parts of the capital during the countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance on Thursday.
None was, however, reportedly injured in the incidents, fire service and police sources said. Some miscreants torched two buses — one belonging to Dhaka University and another of BRTC — in front of Shahidullah Hall of the university in the afternoon.
In Mirpur, a passenger bus of Projapoti Paribahan was torched near Mirpur Section-1 around 8:30pm.
Meanwhile, another bus of Turag Paribahan was torched by the alleged pro-blockaders in Kuril Bishwa Road in the evening.
