Mohila Awami League, the women front of ruling Awami League, celebrated its golden jubilee founding anniversary on Wednesday amid different programmes.
The leaders of the Mohila AL celebrated the day paying homage to Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at his portrait at 32, Dhanmondi in the city at 3 pm.Marking the day, the organisation brought out a colorful rally from the Parliament Building that ended at Bangabandhu Bhaban after parading different city streets.
AL Joint General Secretary and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni inaugurated the rally.
Mohila AL President Safia Begum, its General Secretary Mahmuda Begum Krik, Vice-President Taslima Khatun, Joint General Secretary Shikha Rani were present, among others.
