The 9th founding anniversary of ‘Anandasala’, an education center for the children of special needs in Jahangirnagar University (JU) was celebrated on Thursday on the campus. To mark the day, a discussion session was held at the senate hall of the university where Chairman of Dhaka Zilla Parishad Freedom Fighter (FF) Mahbubur Rahman was present as the chief guest. Addressing the function, FF Mahbubur Rahman announced to construct a building for ‘Anandasala’, on the campus with the assistance of Dhaka Zilla Parishad.
JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam presided over the function. She expressed gratitude to Dhaka Zilla Parishad for enhancing their helping hand for the development of the children of special needs under this education centre.
