Former Jatiya Party MP and freedom fighter Major ( Retd) Shamsul Huda Bachchu died of cardiac arrest at his rented residence, Index Plaza in the town at 9- 30 pm on Wednesday night. He was 70.
He left behind his wife, three daughters and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
His first Namaj-e -janaja was held on the premises of Jatiya Sangsad Babon and 2nd Janaja was held at Narsingdi court Eidgoan ground with state honour.
Leaders of different political parties, government officials and people from other walks of life attended his Namaj-e -Janaja at Narsingdi court Eidgoan ground.
They included Parliament Member (MP) of Joypur Hat Abu Sayed, Deputy Commissioner Narsingdi Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, General Secretary Of Narsingdi District Awami league Abdul Motin Bhuiyan , Mayor of Narsingdi Pourashava Kamruzzaman Kamrul and District Muktijuddah Commander Abdul Motaleb Pathen and others.
He was buried at Narsingdi Gubtoli madrasha graveyard after Asar prayer.
