11th National Parliamentary election: Former IGP Noor Mohammad to contest with

AL ticket from Kishoreganj- 2 Seat :
Noor Mohammad, former IGP, Senior Secretary, Ambassador and VP of Haji Mohasin Hall of Dhaka University- 1979 is considered as a heavy weight candidate for Kishoreganj- 2 constituency and he is likely to get the nomination from ruling Bangladesh Awami League , local sources said.
Noor Mohammad is a popular at the grass root level and among the activist of Awami League in Kishoreganj- 2 (Katiadi-Pakundia) constituency. He was an Inspector General of Police (IGP) in 2007-2011. He was involved with the politics of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), a student wing of Jasod at Dhaka University. He was also V.P of Hajee Mohammad Mohasin Hall of Dhaka University. The local AL leaders said , Noor Mohammad deserves Awami League nomination. The party chief Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also considering the matter, they said.
Noor Mohammad told to The New Nation on Friday, I belong to the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Now, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been trying to fulfill the dream of Bangabandhu.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina knows everything about us. If she thinks, she will give me nomination. I will win in the parliament election using popularity and clean image if get nomination, he added.
