The government has appointed AMM Forhad, a former joint secretary, as the Bangladesh Ambassador to Iraq.
Forhad served as the Member (Finance) to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and as the Director (Accommodation) to the Ministry of Works. He also served as the Deputy Commissioner of Kishorganj district.
He received his BA (Hon’s) and MA degrees from Dhaka University History Department. He was a member of BCS (administration) cadre.
