Forensic test of Niloy allowed

A Dhaka Court yesterday (Sunday) allowed police to go for forensic test of slain blogger Niladri Chattaerjee Niloy.
Earlier, the police sought permission to the court to send the evidence of Niladri Chatterjee Niloy to the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for DNA test. Magistrate Md Emdadul Haq of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after city’s Khilgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) filed a petition to the court seeking the permission.
The things include Niloy’s one tooth, blood-strained shirt and a towel. This correspondent has it learnt from Dipak Kumar, General Recording Officer (GRO) of the CMM Court.
Also known as Niloy Neel among the bloggers’ community and Facebook, was hacked to death by four unidentified miscreants at his Goran residence in the city on Friday.
