UNB, Dhaka :
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said two foreign nationals have been killed in Bangladesh with an aim to destabilise the country.
“Having failed to continue one kind of terrorist activity, the criminals have resorted to another path,” said the Home Minister while talking to reporters at the Secretariat.
“The law enforcement agencies are investigating the two incidents with focus on all suspicious points …hope, the motive behind the two murders will be debunked soon,” Asaduzzaman said.
Replying to a question, he said, “I want to say this again that there is no existence of IS in the country as we can’t let any militant group to thrive. The killers carried out these murders in a bid to shatter the development of the country.”
Responding to a question, the minister said special security measures have been taken in Dhaka diplomatic zone. Meanwhile, all the SPs across the country have been directed to strengthen security in their respective districts and provide security to foreign nationals.
