FM in Geneva Climate Vulnerable Forum must count common interest

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali has stressed improving the visibility of the Climate Vulnerable Forum vis a vis different institutions to take ahead the common interests of the forum members.
He said this at a breakfast debate on Human Rights and Climate Change in Geneva, chaired by the Foreign Minister of Costa Rica and co-organised by
Costa Rica and Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice on Thursday, said a Foreign Ministry media release on Friday.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the need for working together adopting a holistic approach and creating greater synergies in different global negotiating forums on climate change.
Mahmood Ali met Director-General, International Labour Organization (ILO), Guy Ryder, at the ILO Headquarters on the same day.
They discussed different dimensions of ILO’s engagement in Bangladesh and also the issues related to growth and development of manufacturing sectors in Bangladesh.
