Water Development Board is trying to construct a ring embankment in the damaged embankment area.
Fortunately the rest area of the embankment is in good condition till the writing of this report. But it is apprehended by the local people that the rest area of the embankment which is now in good condition may be collapsed or damaged at any time if the water in the river increased at the time of high-tide and consequently, the area may be inundated with water surge.

But due to the Eid holydays the GO bags could not be managed. He added, side by side the processing is going on to construct a ring embankment on the affected area so that the rest area of the broken embankment cannot be eroded by the mighty river Baleswar.
Mozammel Hossain, Chairman of Southkhali Union Parishad told, if the rest area of the collapsed embankment is damaged 10 thousand people of the area will be marooned with water. So, great anxieties and worries were created among the people of the locality as no step was taken so far to save the rest area of the broken embankment.
