On the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 47th martyrdom anniversary in Kalihati, Tangail food items were distributed among 800 families of flood affected by Jamuna River on Thursday.
Abu Nasser, Director of Naopazeco Limited and FBCCI, distributed these gifts under the CSR program of North West Power Generation Company Limited in Jamuna Patharghat area.
Under the chairmanship of Sirajganj Power Plant Chief Engineer Shafiqul Islam, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kalihati Circle) SP Shariful Haque, Bangabandhu Setu East Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam, Kalihati Upazila Awami Jubo League Organizing Secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan were present.
The food items were – 10 kgs of rice, 1 kg of dal, 2 kgs of potatoes, cash, pure water and dry food were distributed among the 800 families affected by the flood in Beltiabari, Afzalpur, Alipur, Basuria areas of the upazila.
Poor families in Char area are happy to receive the gift items.
