Five regularised HC Judges take oath of office

Three days after their appointment, five High Court Judges took oath of office on Thursday morning. Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain administered the oath at the auditorium of the Supreme Court annex building at 10:30 am.
The judges are: Ashish Ranjan Das, Mahmudul Hoque, Mohammad Badruzzaman, Zafar Ahmed and Kazi Ejarul Haque Akondo.
Judges of both the divisions of the Supreme Court
attended the ceremony that lasted for 10 minutes. In consultation with the Chief Justice, the President on June 9 regularised five out of six additional judges of the High Court Division on completion of their two-year judicial service, leaving out ABM Altaf Hossain, who had taken oath of office together on June 13, 2012.
