UNB, Mymensingh :
Five people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a mini truck and a human hauler at Shibpur in Gauripur upazila on Friday.
The deceased could not be identified yet. Officer-in-charge of Gauripur Police Station Fazlul Karim said the mini truck collided with the human hauler on Mymensingh- Gauripur road in the area around 7 pm, leaving a human hauler passenger dead on the spot and eight others injured.
The injured were taken to Haripur Health Complex where doctors declared two of them dead.
Later, the rest injured were shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital as their conditions deteriorated where two others succumbed to their injuries, the OC added.
