Police arrested five people with 22,000 pieces of Yaba tablets in Chittagong city on Sunday.
The arrestees are Apan Majumder Rupesh, of Noakhali Deepak Chandra, Selim Uddin and Rafique of Chittagong and Shirin Sultana Aakhi of Comilla.
Police raided a car in Noyahat area and arrested Apan and Deepak with 12,000 Yaba tablets, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Bayezid Bostami Police Station. Following information gleaned from the duo, police arrested the rest in Agrabad area with more 10,000 Yaba pills, the OC added. A case was filed.
